Copper and Brass Sales Acquires Assets of C-S Metals Service, Inc.
Copper and Brass Sales, a Division of ThyssenKrupp Materials NA, Inc., announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the assets of C-S Metals Service, Inc. The purchase includes all inventories, equipment, machinery, and assumption of the lease.
C-S Metals Service, Inc. is a distributor of non-ferrous metals, with primary focus on aluminum plate, sheet, and extrusions. Founded in 1968, the company is located in Baltimore, Maryland, and services primarily the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States.
Commenting on the purchase, Frank G. Kevane, CEO of the Copper and Brass Sales Division stated, "We are very pleased to have successfully completed this acquisition which will give Copper and Brass Sales increased market coverage in the Mid-Atlantic region and will favorably complement our existing product line, particularly in aluminum. C-S Metals will also become a great addition to our logistics network and thereby will significantly improve the accessibility for the customers in the region to our complete inventory nationwide."
Copper and Brass Sales Executive Vice President David M. Shaw, who has overall responsibility for the Northeast and Southeast regions for the division, noted that Copper and Brass Sales will retain all of the operational and sales personnel of C-S Metals Service, including Terry Miller, the acting branch manager. Shaw also added, "Copper and Brass Sales will continue to service the C-S Metals customers without interruption and with the promise of the highest quality of products and services in the industry."
